The waterproof canopy roof is manufactured from 190g PU coated soft touch polyester fabric ensuring that it keeps you dry
The 190g PU represents the grading of waterproofing that will be keeping you dry.
Many products are described as waterproof even though their grade is 160g or less.
Any rating that is 160g or less only offers ‘water resistance’ and are not waterproof.
160g PU grade waterproofing should be generally classed as ‘water resistant’ not ‘waterproof’
The Taped seams go along way to ensuring that all the sides waterproof
The tape prevents rainwater from seeping through the stitching.
It will also help reduce drafts over time by not allowing the stitching to come apart or stretch
What happens is over time with heat and wet conditions the seams can become weaker and stretched.
This can then over time cause the seams to leak.
By using heating methods this plastic tape is then melted onto the seams to ensure strength and prolonged waterproofing.
Check out other waterproofing methods below.
The Anti-Puddling Roof
The Anti puddling eyelets in the roof are simply there to prevent puddling in the roof.
The puddling doesn’t happen with this Airwave gazebo.
However, there are lots on the market that don’t have this feature and cost a lot more. Be warned!
There are more features below.
Sides on or sides off, you choose
This shelter has 4 sides included and they can be attached or detached as you wish via their velcro straps.
It’s also very simple to make it into a fully enclosed gazebo just by lowering all the sides down.
You will receive 4 sides in total.
- 2 sides with church style windows
- 2 walls that have full-length zips, that can also roll up and act as doors.
These allow you to cross brace the roof area both from side to side making the roof much more sturdy and strong.
What this does is add further strength in windier weather by preventing the frame from buckling under pressure.
You do not have to use the wind bars all the time but we’ve found that for peace of mind we do.
As well as the 2 Wind bars you will also receive a set of 4 weight bags.
Weight Bags for strength
These are pockets that you strap to the legs and then add weight inside.
A very popular way of doing this is filling 4 x 2-litre pop bottles with water and then place them in the weight bags.
They fit perfectly into the pockets and are very easy to remove after use.
This simple measure offers much more strength and stability, especially to the sides.
Decide below which colour takes your preference.
However, stock can limited during summer months.

Buy On Amazon
The good thing about purchasing on Amazon is that there’s a wide range of accessories to choose from.
Therefore, you can add to you order, such things as; Gazebo mats, cutlery for outdoor eating or even outdoor patio furniture for your gazebo area.
What’s more is that with some items Amazon will attempt to combine the packaging costs by having the same courier deliver multiple items together to your address.

An email from a visitor who resides in North America.
I regularly get emails from visitors (about 4/5 a day). Here’s the email in a nutshell….
He said that the Wind bars are great for hanging hummingbird feeders too. I had to smile though, as I’m not quite sure that Mr. Duplessi realised the U.k does not have a native hummingbird. 🙂
Sorry, I just thought I’d had that comment 🙂
